About This Workshop 

In this one-day workshop, you'll discover how to use mindfulness to reveal emotional patterns held in the body that are not easily accessible through conversation alone. Through talks, discussions and experiential learning, you’ll learn how to slow clients down, shift them into a mindful state, and study their emotional patterns right in the moment they’re happening. As you learn to work with your clients’ present moment experiences with an attitude of curiosity and collaboration, your work with clients will go deeper and your sessions will unfold with more ease.


For Whom

The workshop is open and relevant to both clinicians and the general public and serves as prerequisite hours for Hakomi Comprehensive Training.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received by email or phone seven days in advance of a 1-day workshop or fourteen days in advance of a 2 or 3-day workshop will receive a full refund minus a $25 administrative fee. There will be no refunds for cancellations received after the cancellation deadline.


Continuing Education

MFTs, LCSWs, LEPs, LPCCs:  This course meets the qualifications for 6 hours of continuing education credit for MFTs, LPCCs, LEPs, and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. CE provider: Hakomi Institute of California. Provider number: PCE 4355.

Nurses: This course meets the qualifications for 6 contact hours of continuing education for RNs. CE Provider Eva Giedt approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing. Provider number: 14707.  Eva Giedt is a co-sponsor of this training.

Instructor

Nicole photoNicole Heinrich, MA, MFT is a Certified Hakomi Therapist and Teacher and a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She began her love and long term study of Hakomi in 1989 with Ron Kurtz and has extensive experience working with somatic approaches to trauma, somatic resourcing, psychodynamic, relational and attachment therapies. Nicole received a masters degree in Somatic Psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies and has over 20 years of clinical experience. She has private practices in San Francisco and Santa Cruz working with individuals, couples and groups and supervises interns at the Marina Counseling Center and The Center for Somatic Psychotherapy. She also has years of training and experience with different forms of bodywork, meditation and contemplative movement. With an open heart and a deep trust in the present moment, Nicole brings a depth of knowledge to her therapy practice and teaching. Nicole can be contacted at 831-466-9497 or 415-933-6909.
